Welcome to the latest edition of our departmental chronicle, where we celebrate a season defined by academic rigor, scholarly growth, and the remarkable ingenuity of our community. The department championed a culture of excellence by fostering an environment where technical expertise and ethical professional values remained at the forefront of every endeavor. We remained steadfast in our commitment to cultivating an atmosphere that empowered students and faculty to reach unprecedented heights of achievement.

The department achieved a significant academic milestone as it successfully hosted the Graduation Ceremony 2026, where 61 talented computer science engineers embarked upon their professional journeys. This formal convocation featured an inspiring address by Mrs. Alice G. Vaidyan, who emphasized the necessity of ethical leadership and lifelong learning. The event served as a proud celebration of student excellence and the vital role of faculty mentorship in nurturing the next generation of innovators.

Our commitment to pedagogical advancement took center stage during the Third Board of Studies meeting, where the department successfully deliberated on critical curriculum updates. By engaging with esteemed academic and industry experts, the faculty finalized vital enhancements to the fifth and sixth-semester syllabi, ensuring alignment with current technological trends. Furthermore, the research community flourished as Prof. Juby Raju successfully defended her Ph.D. thesis, a profound accomplishment that strengthened the departmentโ€™s collective scholarly expertise and dedication to advanced research.

Student innovation and academic brilliance also shined brightly through several notable achievements. We celebrated thirty high-achieving students from the 2024โ€“2028 batch who attained an impressive SGPA of 8.0 or higher, with Jeremiah Thomas Varughese leading the cohort with an outstanding 9.75. Additionally, the entrepreneurial spirit thrived as student Nibin Reji launched his sophisticated financial management application, Pocket Ledger, on the Google Play Store. These successes reaffirmed our long-term commitment to maintaining an environment rooted in academic excellence, research-driven innovation, and the holistic development of every member of our vibrant engineering community.
